If someone in your life has died or has become incapacitated, we will shepherd you through the process of handling their affairs. TRUST ADMINISTRATION is the process of managing an estate held in Revocable Trust (also called a Living Trust) after someone has died. PROBATE is the court process that is often necessary if someone died without a Will, or with a Will but without a Revocable Trust. We also assist our clients who are managing the assets of a loved one who has become INCAPACITATED, both when their loved one’s assets are held in a Revocable Trust and when they are not.
The specifics of how any individual estate will be handled depends upon a number of factors: whether the person has an estate plan and what that estate plan includes, the nature of the person’s assets and how they are titled, and other circumstances that are unique to that person, their family, and their assets.
